Today we have a lot of great Champions League matches.

In group D, Porto and Chelsea are already ready for the knockout stage. Tonight’s match will most likely determine who will win the group. A draw will be enough for Chelsea to keep control of the group.

Scoring draw is priced at 4.30 by Betsson.com and looks like the value bet of the night. I lay down £100.

Well, yesterday was a real disappointment. On stoppage time, AZ equalized against Arsenal making the Greek win useless. Terrible game by Arsenal. They played second half as they had a 2-3 goals lead. They got punished for it and there’s no question they deserved it.

Well, another day. Full with options. I have no inspiration and will settle for a £50 chance bet.

Gonna be a great night in front of the TV tonight, even though this rounds top matches are tomorrow. But still, we got Arsenal, Barcelona, Liverpool, Inter Milan all playing tonight, so there will be some great action.

So are there any good betting options?

In Group H this round will make it clear what team will follow Arsenal to the next round. I expect that team to be Olympiakos. The Greeks have five straight wins in the Greek Super League, with 7-0 in goals in the last three. They’re trailing leading Panathinaikos by nothing more than one less goal scored.

The Greeks are up against the Belgium champions Royal Standard de Liege. Standard have started their season ok and are in 4th place (last five:WDWWL).

Olympiakos are in great shape and I think playing at home will provide the edge they need. Standard will have troubles scoring against the Greeks great defense. 2-0 is a realistic outcome.

Olympiakos to win pays 1.80 by Betsson.com right now, which I consider to be a fairly good price.

The safe bet is Olympiakos to win, but beeing the Gunners fan I am I can’t help myself and I will bet a double. I just can’t see Arsenal not winning against AZ Alkmaar even with a few players on the injury list. The Dutch team have had a terrible start to their season and should not be in shape to threaten Arsenal’s three points.

Wolfsburg is off to a good start in both Germany and Champions League.

Ok, time for full disclosure. I am a Gunners fan. I am not reliable when it comes to predicting Gunners, as you may have seen this weekend. So you may what to do some homework of your own before logging on to your bookie.

That said, I still believe this to be a really safe bet.

Not only did the Inter Milan – Barcelona game turn out nothing like I expected, but also my TV was busted giving me no chance to catch the action.

From what I’ve read Barcelona dominated and the Italians did what they do best. Not trying to justify yesterdays bad bet, but if Barcelona had managed to get an early goal I still believe my bet would have been good.

Two of Europe’s elite go head-to-head in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday as Inter Milan host Barcelona in their Group F opener.

The game marks the immediate return of Zlatan Ibrahimovic to the Giuseppe Meazza while Samuel Eto’o lines up against Barca for the first time following his summer switch.

Being the opener I believe it will be an action packed match. No need for either side to play tight, both sides really want to show the world who came out on top in the insane transfer market.
